We would like to thank all of our cast, crew and everyone else who pulled together to bring our sell out panto Cinderella and The Baked Beanstalk to life. We played to 6 packed houses at the start of December and the reviews were all amazing! Thank you to our audiences who came along to support the Theatre Group for another year. We couldn't have done it without you!
We are so excited to announce that this years panto auditions will take place on Sunday the 20th of August!
Our panto this year is 'Cinderella and the Baked Beanstalk' an original story written by our own Hannah Philips. This never before seen story features all of your favourite characters brought together for an epic adventure!
Fancy taking to the stage as Aladdin, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood or Widow Twanky? Then come on down to the Upper Town Hall and show us what you're made of!

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us on Saturday the 22nd of July for our first theatre group film night. It was a great night, with original members mingling with our newest members, sharing stories and memories of the theatre group days gone by.
It showed us just how integral ATG is to our community and we plan to keep building our group to be bigger and better than ever before!

AGM 2023
The Theatre Group held its Annual General Meeting on 26th April in the Church Hall where all the activities of the group and future plans were discussed. Long standing member and Chair Lindsay Petrie announced his retirement from the group. We wish him all the best in his retirement from the group and sincerely thank him for his service. A new committee was elected to serve the group, with many new faces coming on board.
Due to the continuation of the Victoria Hall being closed to the public, it is likely performances will remain in the Church Hall for the time being. It was advised that due to lack of volunteers to run the youth group, it is unlikely that this will take place this year, however it is hoped that we can bring it back in the future.
We are excited to bring the annual pantomime back for another year, as well as a film night in the summer, with a new play coming in 2024.

If you are one of the hundreds of people who have ever helped the Theatre Group is any way whatsoever, then you have helped raise over £20,000 for charities at home and abroad, whilst also giving the Group the funds to invest in lights, sound and stage equipment.
